Lea Salonga is still beyond the clouds after the successful crossover of ABS CBN Sunday musical-variety show ASAP Natin To on TV 5 Network.

After the cancellation of TV 5’s own Sunday show, Sunday Noontime Live, the public were surprised after both network confirmed that the vacant block time will be given to ASAP Natin To.

This gives more platform to ABS CBN given that until now, the network is still not fully operating on TV after its loss of franchise last July 2020.

That is why having this project is such a huge thing for Kapamilya artists.

“I know! It’s crazy. It’s crazy,” Lea said.

“That’s kind of unprecedented.

“I mean, how do I feel about it? I feel overjoyed ASAP gets to air, like, actually goes on air again.

“That people will have access to it, those who don’t have access to online platforms and streaming will get to see it again on the air,” she explains.

The award winning singer also extends her gratitude to TV 5 for giving ABS CBN a chance to get back on its feet.

“I was bowled over, I guess, because of the generosity of TV5 to allow this to happen.

“Because it’s an extremely competitive industry. We all know this. Everybody competes with everybody.

“But for this to happen, I still couldn’t believe it, I still can’t believe it that it actually happened.

“Never mind that there is so much evidence online. Never mind that there have been so many stars on ASAP who were sharing this bit of news on social media.

“Never mind that I was reading the articles.

“It’s like, ‘Oh my gosh!’ I think it is unprecedented, but incredibly generous and so wonderful.”
